New File Name

Postby PeterWhy » Sun Aug 28, 2022 10:37 am

After a computer malfunction, I recently bought a new computer, and had to reinstall BRU ... so I've lost the settings I used to use. On the old computer I was able to enter a new file name (? in the Add box?), with padded sequential numbering, and BRU would replace all the selected file names in a single action. Example: "Able", "Bert", "Colin" replaced with "Xenon001", "Xenon0002", "Xenon0003"

I've not been able to reproduce this effect; I've seen a couple of youtube videos where this is done in two stages, first manually Removing the old file name, then Adding the new one. But I want to avoid the extra process.

What am I missing?

Change entire filename to any fixed text

Name(2) should first be set to "Fixed", with any text underneath being like... Xenon.
Numbering(10) uses Mode==Suffix and "Pad" depends on what is typo'd in the samples.
