Postby shehzada_007 » Tue Nov 29, 2005 5:51 pm

As all the thought and aspects of the file name modifcation is available in BULK RENAME UTILITY it would be nice if one more utility can be add to complie it as COMPLETE UTILITY i.e. functionality to modify file/folder date.

hope this might help

Best Regards..

I also think it would be useful to have a possibility to change file/folder date. It is difficult to find a good freeware date changing utility.

Thank you very much for adding the timestamp feature. It works great.

I found a bug there - timestamp and attributes setting don't get stored into .bru file.

Hi DSmidgy,

Can you give me more info on the "bug", possible with a sample .BRU file? it works okay for me.

Cheers,

I should put it differently. It's not a bug - it's a way of you implemented how the settings are saved.

Attributes and timestamps are saved in "Bulk Rename Utility.ini". When you save the settings in .bru file the settings about attributes and timestamps don't get stored in that file. Maby it would be best if that settings get stored in .bru too.

"Bulk Rename Utility.ini":
Change Attributes=0
Change Created Timestamp=0
Change Modified Timestamp=2
Change Accessed Timestamp=0

Yes, I realise there's some inconsistency there. In general, only settings on the main screen are held in the Favourite. Settings made on the menus are held in the INI file. Not ideal I know.
