Date format YYYYMMDD

Postby UserDDBivens » Fri Apr 28, 2006 12:21 am

The one item I am looking for in a rename utility is to rename by either created date or modified date with the format:
YYYYMMDD_filename.ext

Your program almost has the option I need but only list a 2 digit year.

This would allow files to sort chronologically regardless of the year it was created or modified (for those old files from 1990s that are still on the file server...).

Thank you.

Hi,

You can either tick the "Cent" flag in the Autodate box, as that will include the century. OR you can use a Custom date format, and use %Y instead of %y.

It's all in the help file :-)
