Use parent folder in name

Postby pickle » Sat Aug 05, 2006 6:46 pm

Hi,

Would (or is) it be possible to use the parent folder name in the name of a file? For example,
Change
Code: Select all
/myImages/
         |
          /picnic/
                 |
                  DC0111.JPG
                  DC0112.JPG
          /mountains/
                    |
                     DC0237.JPG
                     DC0238.JPG

into
Code: Select all
/myImages/
         |
          /picnic/
                 |
                  picnic1.JPG
                  picnic2.JPG
          /mountains/
                    |
                     mountains1.JPG
                     mountains2.JPG

I have yet to find a program that can do this - hoping you're excited enough by the prospect to put it in a future release

Hi pickle,
welcome to BRU and this forum.

Please open BRU
and look at section No. (9) "Append Folder Name"
Image

You could also use the help
to find out such things yourself,
look in section "The Main Screen" and
scroll down to "Append Folder Name".

Hey Jim, your screenshots on the screenshot page are out of date, isn't it?

In my defense, I did search the help - couldn't find anything

However, having the option in plain sight negates any defense I may have

Thanks a bunch!

Yeah sorry, the screenshots need updating. The whole website needs a bit of a revamp
