Remember the highest sequence number last used

Postby nkoss » Fri Dec 29, 2006 10:12 pm

If I am renaming a bunch of folders with images, whatever system I use, usually includes a sequential number system of some kind. When I finish one folder and go to the next, I want to start at one greater than the last. It would be nice if BRU left the appropriate "next" number in the starting slot, just to save me from remembering it, and possibly being off by one. Not a huge thing, but a nice conveneience....thanks

As an alternative, if the folders are withing a parent folder then why not select the parent folder and choose the "subfolders" option? That way you could rename all your files in a single pass.

Yes, I guess I could, but that would take some re-arranging first since the folders are at the same level to start...

Can't you just move all the folders to a new location, rename the files, and move them back? That should do the trick. A bit kludgy I agree, but it might work.

Sure...but that's the kludge I was hoping to avoid...hence the suggestion here in the 'suggestion box' 8)
