File sizes in Bytes / Column widths

Postby KHL » Wed Aug 22, 2007 5:24 pm

Jim,

two questions:

1) May it be possible to show/extract the file sizes in Bytes rather than KB? This would help me a lot as I often handle similar pictures which differ in file sizes only.

2) Any chance to save the columns' widths in the ini-file? This would allow to transfer the visual appearance exactly from one machine to the other.

Thanks

Hi,

I'll try to add the file-size change to the enxt release (date TBA).

As for the columns - this is one anomaly of BRU. Virtually everything is stored in the .ini file, except the column widths and positions. There's probably no valid reason for doing this now so I can probably change this too.

Jim,

many thanks for the quick response.

By the way:
I finally managed to make my favorite computer magazine aware of BRU.

They have added it to their german August issue CD/DVD:

So the number of visitors/users/members/donators  may increase rapidly now. Will be interesting to watch...

This change is now done, and will be in the next release.

Jim,

I hope your webspace problem has been resolved. Unfortunately I even don't know If I had any I could make accessible for you. I even don't use the mail-address my ISP has setup for me.

Thanks for implementing the file size options.
But Clipboard Copy|Extended File Details still extracts the files' sizes as KB only, even though I've set it to Bytes.

Cheers
