File Rename/Copy and still preserve directory structure

Postby webdesignmx05 » Mon Apr 26, 2010 10:09 pm

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had found a way to do a Bulk File Rename and copy to a destination folder (New Location) while still preserving the folder structure from where the files originated.

For example. Let () denote a directory

(a) - file x.asp
(b) - file y.asp
(c) - file z.asp

Original Contents consist of all .asp files scattered across many folders (some of which are nested).
Is it possible to specify in selections (12) *.asp and New location (13) path with "copy not move" box checked and have the files get renamed and copied into the (destination) folder and further nested within their original folder structure (a), (b), and (c) ?

I tried this earlier but could only copy the newly renamed files to the (destination) folder

Thanks.
