Downloads broken again

Postby zridling » Fri Mar 31, 2006 9:37 am

Been trying to download the latest version for two weeks now with no luck. All download links are dead. Any help, or is there an alternative site?

Also, why not allow downloads on FileForum? — http://fileforum.betanews.com/

Thanks.

Downloads are not dead, and never have been. Downloads today (at 11AM):

Code: Select all
Bulk Rename Utility (with installer)  66
Bulk Rename Utility (no Installer)  22
Bulk Rename Utility (BETA)  11
Bulk Rename Utility (Unicode, with Installer)  22

Downloads yesterday:

Code: Select all
Bulk Rename Utility (with installer)  169
Bulk Rename Utility (no Installer)  45
Bulk Rename Utility (BETA)  20
Bulk Rename Utility (Unicode, with Installer)  47

Downloads on Wednesday:

Code: Select all
Bulk Rename Utility (with installer)  198
Bulk Rename Utility (no Installer)  53
Bulk Rename Utility (BETA)  35
Bulk Rename Utility (Unicode, with Installer)  50

I can assure you, if downloads were dead I would know about it - my download stats would be much lower than usual - and I'd have no internet access :-)

Me thinks it's an issue at your end, I'm afraid....

Thanks Jim. I can't get any of the download links to activate through any browser — three of them, in fact. I'll ask someone to email me the file if they can DL it for me.

What are the actual URLs you are downloading from?

Looks like a DNS issue at your end. All of those links work for me, and I'm not at home right now so I'm accessing across the internet just like you are.

If you're on a Windows PC it could be DNS or cache.

Thanks again for the help. It's not cache; but it was DNS caching by my freakin' firewall! I cleared that and it came through. THANK YOU!

I've emailed it. I'll also edit your message to hide your email address (to prevent spamming engines etc)

All the links are to .EXE files, so the most likely cause is that your ISP, or your own firewall software, is preventing links to .EXE files.
