I need a new formula

Postby grandpaterry » Mon Feb 04, 2013 4:18 pm

Hello guys, I have about 140,000 music files and I need a formula to change

Osmond, Donny & Marie - Deep Purple - M-G-M 14840
Osmond, Donny & Marie - I Want To Give You My Everything - POLYDOR 14474

to

Donny & Marie Osmond - Deep Purple - M-G-M 14840
Donny & Marie Osmond - I Want To Give You My Everything - POLYDOR 14474

and also a formula to change 2nd name to 1st name without changing
Lemon Fog to Fog Lemon
Lyn Collins to Collins Lyn
Lemon Pipers to Pipers Lemon

Leftwich, Brad - Pretty Polly Ann
Legacy, Doug - Ya Ya
Legend, John - Again
Legrand, Michel - Paris Violon
Lemon Fog - Summer
Lemon Pipers - Jelly Jungle
Lyn Collins - Baby Don't Do It

I know this formula works ex:
(.+) (.+)( - .+)

\2, \1\3

but like I said above it also changes
Lemon Fog to Fog Lemon
Lyn Collins to Collins Lyn
Lemon Pipers to Pipers Lemon

Thank you very much

Terry

I think you have to sort your files first into groups and rename them in different heap-

(^[^, ]+), (.+?)( - .+)
\2 \1\3

\1= Char1TillFirstCommaSpace (when no spaces precede that comma)
\2= Chars after FirstCommaSpace before next Space-Space (FirstName)
\3= Space-Space till end of filename
