Renaming extension with blank space before it.

Postby axellslade » Sat May 25, 2013 12:12 pm

How do I rename files with a blank space before the file extension in it with BRU?
Example: "xxx .txt" to "xxx.txt"
I tried selecting all files with the blank space and renaming " .txt" to ".txt" but it doesn't work.
Tips?
Running Windows 7 x64.

Thanks.

Remove blank space at end of name just before the extension

This will work if you work on the full file name instead of the base name only.
Therefore select "Options > Ignore... > File Extensions"

If you really be able to ""selecting all files with the blank space""
you can also use Remove(5) Last 1

But for your case it may be enough to just utilize Remove(5) [X] Trim ?
(now without "Options > Ignore... > File Extensions" !)
(That will also remove leading spaces... but they are rarely anyway, isn't it?)

HTH? :D

Also, with extensions ignored, you can replace SpacePeriod with Period
