Remove (x) character from end

I would like to be able to remove the 3rd character from the end (not counting the extension). Is there any way to do this?

Sorry. It looks like I should have started this in the Regular Expressions forum.

Since the character I am replacing is always the first '0' in the file name I figured out a way to use regular expressions to accomplish my task.

Just as a suggestion, it might be helpful to add an option to Remove(5) that would start from the end of the string as well as the beginning.

Anyway, problem solved.
