Substracting number in the file name

Postby TooNice » Wed Feb 04, 2015 5:53 pm

Hello. First of all thanks for this application. I have used it for some basic yet would be time consuming tasks.

I have a question which may at first seem like the what the last person asked, but with an important twist.

I wish to subtract (5389) from the last four digits of my file name. That is to say "DSC07820" would become "DSC02431".

But it has to be subtracting because I wish to keep any "gap" in the series after the rename. For instance:

DSC07820 -> DSC02431
DSC07821 -> DSC02432
DSC07823 -> DSC02434
DSC07825 -> DSC02436
DSC07830 -> DSC02441

So I can not simply remove the last four digits, add 2431 and increment from there.

Cheers.

Hi, that would require some scripting capabilities, BRU does not have that but we are considering adding it. thanks
