Numbers Help..

Thanks for this wonderful software. I am pretty new to it so would really appreciate some help.
The file formats are as follows : @11 120514_SRP6136 and I need them renamed to @11 a 120514_SRP6136
Which is easy using the insert function, but there are different numbers so if i do an insert at 4 it will be okay for 1 - 9 but 10 - 99 it's different.
Confusing
But this is what i want : @1 120514_SRP6136, @11 120514_SRP6136 needs to be @1 a 120514_SRP6136 @11 a 120514_SRP6136
