How to access hidden folders

Postby mmx » Wed Nov 15, 2006 12:28 pm

Hi

I want to rename some files in my firefox profile folder, which is located in "application data" folder but I am unable to access it with BRU. "Jump to path" fails and hidden folders are'nt visible in the explore-like pane. Is there a solution?
Thank you

NB: I'm under Windows XP SP2

If you tick the "hidden" box (in group 12, at the bottom of the screen), and then refresh the tree (Ctrl+F5) you will see that the hidden folders are now displayed.

Yes they can? At least, they can for me. I cna get into any of the folders that I would normally be allowed access to (e.g. by Windows permissions).

 I have found the solution : in the"Folder options", show hidden files and systems files was activated but it was non sufficient, and an option below, "hide protected system files" must be activated either. Sorry I use Freecommander instead of windows explorer and didn't need to activate this options before.
Now its OK
Again thanks
