How do I change file extensions ?

Im new to this and need to know how to change file extensions. I have files ending in .JPG , jpeg and I just want all to be jpg . How do I do this ?

are there any tutorials on youtube ?

Hi and welcome.

From:
filename.jpeg

TO:
filename.jpg



1.) Filter the list for *.jpeg
Selections(12)  
Filter  [ *.jpeg         ]

Click one time into the files list to apply the filter. (Or un-check and re-check the [x]Files check box, or just press F5 key)



2.) Set ext to JPG
Extension(11)  
[Fixed  ]v]   [ jpg      ]



3.) Select all files in the list to see the effect.

From the main menu tabs choose "Renaming Options", select "File/Folder Extensions" and make sure the check box is marked for "Rename File Extensions As Being Part of File Name"
