Bulk Rename Utility

Does anybody know if this software can change files from .doc to .docx ?

I tried to change about 10 files by simply putting docx in the extension area with "fixed" selected, but that didn't work.

You know docX is totally different format than doc ? So just change the extension makes no real sense.
