Not honoring DST - Date Modified off by one hour vs Explorer

Postby tool50 » Thu Nov 12, 2015 11:37 pm

I've read in another post where a person mentions this, but then the user says they reimaged their computer and it went away. I don't have that luxury and this really doesn't make much sense to me why this is happening. I've tried it with multiple folders and it seems to be happening across the board.

Does anyone have any way to fix this?
See attached image:

Thanks in advance! - By the way, I'm using version 2, 7, 1, 2.

OK - a bit more information. I have found the "issue". It indeed is related to daylight savings time. I don't know which one is right and which one is wrong however. But if I compare pictures that are NOT during daylight savings time, then the times appear correct. Pictures taken DURING daylight savings time all have their time off by one hour compared to windows explorer.

Can others confirm this behavior? Go into a directory where pictures were taken both BEFORE and AFTER DST and see if you come up with the same behavior.

I can post screenshots showing this.

Admin - Any ideas?

Thanks!

I think it's likely to be an issue in BRU. Do you have DST in your time zone right now? If yes, what happens in BRU and Win Explorer if you create a new file now? thanks

No. DST has ended:

Daylight Saving Time (United States) 2015 began at 2:00 AM on Sunday, March 8
and ended at 2:00 AM on Sunday, November 1

If I create a new file (RTF text file in this example), its fine. but if I copy an older image file into that new directory (along with the new text file) - that copied one is still off. See below:

Ideas?

It's an issue with BRU. I have noted to fix this DST problem for the new upcoming release.

When do you think the next release will be that has this fix?

Thanks!
