Installed 64-bit version, does not start

This is kind of a mystery. I've been using and loving BRU for years on Windows 7 Professional. Recently got a new computer, this one is 64-bit, wowzers! Installed newest 3.001 version but it doesn't start...I mean it loads, and pops up in Task Manager briefly, but the GUI never shows up. System is all up to date and nothing else is wrong. I already uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted...all that stuff. Should I try forcing the 32-bit version perhaps?
