I have about 700 CD's ripped into directories that are music\"artist"\"album" . In each of these I have a scan of the cover called cover.jpg . I'm starting to use two different programs with my music collection so I need a copy of cover.jpg called folder.jpg in the same directory. Can this utility make a copy of cover.jpg and name it folder.jpg in the same directory? Thanks.

No, not really. There's a facility to "copy instead of move" but that only works if you are renaming to a new folder.
