Replacing text at end of file leaves a space

As the subject suggests i'm having an issue with removing the 'text' field below as it leaves a space in its place i.e. replace = (text) and with ='blank field with no spacing'.

e.g.
FILENAME (USA) (text).zip

Replace (3) output:
FILENAME (USA) .zip

Query. Why is it leaving a space when it should be a like for like replacement. Nic.

Depending on how you're going about it...

It is leaving the {space} following the first closing paren,), so ") ", so you would want to include that space in your removal string, so, " (text)".
