Would someone be so kind as to explain the correct way to SEARCH for, and find? I have a music database of 90000+ songs, and all I want to do is SEARCH for a specific artist. I have tried everything to search [RegEx (1), as well as Filters(12)], and still cannot get results.

Please assist! Blessings,JC2john@gotmanatee.com

Try MediaMonkey for that. I don't think BRU looks at ID tags in audio files. Besides, MM is designed for what you want in your question.

If the artist name is in the file name or path, then there is nothing better then Everything.

Everything can also search some fields in a (video) tag.

would find files that are tagged "jethro tull".
Searching tags like that is not very efficient (as in it is not indexed), so may or may not be of value, & an alternate program may be better able to deal with tags.

OK, so what KI wanted to do, I COULD not get to do within BRU. However, "therube" came through with flying colors - suggesting 'Everything'. I downloaded it, and ran it, and what I wanted to come up, came up.

Thanks therube.
Blessings, and Merry Christmas, John
