Bulk Rename Utility

I have many photos that have an accurate "date taken", and an inaccurate "date modified". See the folder below.



BRU isn't detecting a "date taken" on them at all. In fact, as I scroll through the list of available date types on BRU, all that is detected is a modified and created date - neither are accurate for my renaming purposes.



As you can see, I do have "extract EXIF data" enabled.



Any ideas what the problem might be?

Pictures are worse than music as far as tags go. "Date taken" meta data can be stored in 3 different formats.
Exif, IPTC, XMP

You can use a tool like "GeoSetter" to see where this was written, and sync across all 3 formats if needed.
Most cameras store in the exif, but differs by brand exactly where.

Exiftool will also show where all meta is written, but it's harder to use. Some photo software also reveals this.
