Sort files in random order and rename

Postby Admin » Tue Nov 27, 2018 11:15 pm

Navigate to the folder that contains all those files you want renamed. Then go to the “Action” menu and select “Random Sort“.
This will change the current order of your files, which normally follows their current names or modification dates etc, in a random sort.
Then you can apply auto-numbering to the current order to have your files named in a sequence of numbers that will reflect their new, random order.

Re: Sort files in random order and rename

I am not finding random as a choice under actions.

I have a folder with about 900 images in it and want to put them in a random order.

Also: Is there a way to schedule an automatic random rename of the contents in a folder? I would like to have the files randomized every hour if possible.

Thanks~

(I suppose the location of the option has changed.)

Actions | List -> Apply Random Sort to Current List
