Photo file crashes BRU

Postby curious » Wed Dec 20, 2023 3:08 am

I am running 3.4.4.0 on Windows 11. I have a photo.jpg which causes BRU to crash (it simply closes without warning or message) every time I try t open a folder containing that photo. I used ExifTool to look at the metadata, which reported the following: "Warning: InteropIFD pointer references previous ExifIFD directory".
Windows Explorer is able to show the photo thumbnail, photo properties details, etc, and can open it in the assigned photo application when double-clicked. So, it is unfortunate that BRU cannot handle this file, albeit corrupted to some degree. All I want to do is rename files, so I'm not sure why BRU seems to be looking at the metadata and crashing!
If I had permission, I could upload the file.

Host the file, somewhere & provide a link to it, here.

In BRU, do you have:

Renaming Options -> ID3 / EXIF Properties -> Extract... options enabled?
