Is url_encoding a standard function?

Postby bulkklub » Thu Apr 28, 2005 3:04 pm

1. I want to rename "non standard" filenames, e.g. including extended ASCII character as "äüö", blank, by underscores.
Thats a preparation process before loading up files to a unix box.

2. When there are as a result of renaming 2 ore more filenames identicaly, I would like to let a counter introduce automaticaly a increaasing number to differenciate.

Are these 2 functions posible with the standard RenameTool?
Thanks you, Tom

Hi bulkklub,

1) The easiest way to do this is to setup normal search & replace logic. There's options to remove high-characters etc.

2) Not quite. You can do something similar using Box 9, making sure you enter a "Break" value, but I don't think it's quite what you are looking for.
