Rename parent directory based on child directory name

Hello all,

I have about 900 directories with the naming convention 'export-yyyymmdd', each has a SINGLE sub-directory with a better, more identifiable name, let's say 'identifier' (each of the 900 directories has a different identifier). Is there some way to rename the parent directory such that it would read 'export-yyyymmdd-identifier' with this utility? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
