Bulk Rename Utility How-To's

[^\x20-\x7F]+/g

This worked exactly one time with the contents of one folder, but never again.

When I put that in the RegEx (1)\Match field and select v2, the Rename button is greyed out.

Perhaps this means the files in question do not actually have UNICODE in their names. However, I've another program (AVStoDVD) telling me the file names contain UNICODE, so I'm at a loss.

Any ideas?

Hi, in BRU, when you select files and have also the renaming criteria set, if the Rename button is grayed out / disabled, it means that there are no changes to apply to file names.
Does AVStoDVD tell you which file names have UNICODE?

No, it said every file I loaded contained UNICODE.

I copied the files I wanted to use to a new folder and renamed them 01, 02, 03, and 04.mp4, and when I used these, instead, AVStoDVD stopped returning the warnings.

Whatever that means.
