Reset on Exit

Postby bernie9 » Sun Jan 19, 2025 6:36 pm

Hi all, since the new update 4.0.0.4 BRU is saving the settings from the last session and opening with them in place. Is there an option to turn this off so that everything is default when it opens?

Thanks

To stop saving any changes, can remove the checkmark from "File, Favourites, Save on Exit".
To stop using a saved .bru settings-file, can edit 1-line in your Bulk Rename Utility.ini like...
Favourite Path="C:\PathTo\MySettings.bru" ---> Favourite Path=""

BRU cannot be running while editing this file, since he overwrites it when exiting!

Hi, there will be a new program Preference for this in new build 4.0.0.5, for when there is no .BRU file open.

Thank you, but that's unticked already. This is new behaviour since the update.
Thanks though
