How to pre-pend an EXIF data string to an existing file name

Super simple question to which I can't quite find the answer in this forum.

I would like to bulk-rename a large number photo files, within a large number of folders, to [EXIF "date taken" in YYMMDD format][existing file name and extension]

ie i just want to pre-pend "date taken" to the existing file name.

This should be straightfoward but I'm having some challenges figuring out the UI.
