Sorry , what name do you need from / to ? Do you need to append a new extension to a file name?

I'm trying to force BRU to respect a list of name changes using the "Import Rename-Pairs" tool. I have a huge list of files I want to rename none of which have an extension included in the list. Some of them have a dot (.) included in the title of the filename as described above, but not all (To describe this I cherry picked the files that don't work) So I wondered if there is a way to force BRU to respect the filename and add the extention (11) function at the end of the filename without having to worry whether BRU has removed the names of files with a dot in. When working with 100+ files it is very frustrating it find a misnamed file later on, and BRU doesn't warn against this behaviour because it is correct as far as it is concerned.
