Add Suffix/Append Folder is including extension

I am trying to add a suffix to a file name. I have done this countless times before using BRU. However, this morning when I tried to add a suffix to a file name, the suffix was added after file extension which has never happened before. I also tried using the append folder name function as suffix and that two was placed after the file extension.

What setting have I accidentally turned on or off?
