File Renames and Date Alteration

Postby RobCharles1981 » Fri Apr 24, 2020 2:28 pm

Hello,

I'm new to the forums, and I was introduced to the Bulk Rename Utility from another forum site so I'm asking for help here.
I made a video shoot yesterday that's had 229 Files but the file numbering was not the default for example 0001 and so on, I've changed the first few but need the program to do the rest from 00061 onwards can this program do this?

Also the time on my camera was set wrong as I hadn't changed it to the BST again can the program change the time stamp in order they where taken?

Any help welcomed!

Many thanks
Rob

With #10Numbering, you could use Pad=5 and Start=61 to start numbering selected-files at 00061.
You would need to choose something for the Mode (Prefix/etc) depending on your filename format.
Just be careful with your file-selection, and make sure they're sorted properly, if it matters.

Depending on your filenames, it might be easier to just select them all, using Pad=5, Start=1
BRU can also mod file-system time-stamps.. Its under: Special/ChangeFileTimeStamps.
There's a Delta option to increase or decrease your time-stamps by hours/minutes/etc.
Cheers

Hello and thanks for your input.
The file types are.mts

Any further knowledge?

Hi.. I'm not sure what the question is..
Do you wish to only see .mts-files in the preview-pane?

If so, type *.mts into #12's Mask-box, then F5/Refresh to enforce the filter.
Use something like *a*.mts to show .mts-files with 'a' in their name.
You can filter much better with regex (files without numbers/etc), but I'd need examples.
Cheers!

For anyone seeking the expert advice, you should

1. Pose your question.
2. What you want to do.
3. Provide over a half dozen or more examples in the format:

From.... to...

This will give enough information to start and someone will respond to try and assist you properly.

It will save valuable time of yours. otherwise you will probably waste several days of back and forth messaging just to get the
required information.

Thanks for listening.
