Perform operations on a part of the filename

Is it possible to perform renaming operations on a part of the filename. For example, I need to change case of the first 3 characters of the filename:
abc_the_rest.txt
ABC_the_rest.txt

I did it by creating rename pairs in some external program. Can it be done within BRU?

Hi, maybe you could use the Import rename pairs function in BRU or Javascript renaming.

Thanks for the answer. I have performed renaming by importing externally created rename pairs. Unitl now, I was not aware of javascript functionality. I will have it in mind for the future.
