How can I broaden pane?

In the main window at the top are two panes side by side, on the right is the tree and on the left is the list of file names to be renamed. How can i broaden this top pane. Just now I can see only 3 of my file names

I tried F9 and it did broaden the pane definetely but it completely covered the below half fo the pane with all the renaming options!
Isnt there some way the top pane can be sized manually?

The controls are hidden but still effective.
What you can do is to set the options you need first, then expand the file list.
