filter files based on their folder name

Postby gb82 » Sun Feb 07, 2021 9:00 pm

I have a load of files in various levels of directories, but need to select and rename all files that are in a folder called "dup", I've tried a filter on 'dup' but that just shows the folders, not the files within. Any ideas??

This the only pages Im finding to filter by the folder names... viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4917 and http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/foru ... f=4&t=4802.
Both saying to use the Filters(12) "Condition" but its not for free versions, If you have the paid version, I can help for modifying inside the regex parts.
Im already experimented with Filters(12) "Mask" like.. *\dup\* but does not conduct to match folder names.

Another way is to put counterfeit drive like "X" inside the top folder path, then pressing <Enter> on the keyboard. Then first to put a checkmark only in the "Files" for Filters(12). Then to use a program like Windows Explorer for finding the "dup" folders, so then dragging the folders into the listing window to see the files. After dragging the folders, must be careful making no changes inside Filters(12), or else you must drag the folders again.
