Bulk Rename Utility

I'm using the app mainly to change the timestamp on old, scanned image files. jpg's without XFI (?) info.
I want to change dates to 1950 but it seems the earliest date allowed is 1971.
This does not seem to be an NTFS filesystem limitation.
Can this be fixed?

(Whatever function/library is being used, you would think it could be replaced [in the program itself] with something that would provide greater accommodation.)

In the meantime, Nirsoft's BulkFileChanger should be able to do it.
