Bulk Rename Utility

Hi All,
Please can I use rename Paris function without putting the file name extension in the text file?
like this:
He works |Jakov works
I tried to do that, but it does not work.
However, when I read the manual pdf of BRU at page 126 of volume 1, I saw this

As I know there is no file extension in the demo file which was created in excel,
I created the same file with the same pattern, but doesn't work (requires a file extension to work)
So please help me how to exclude file extensions when making the pattern if possible?
