Not a renaming question, but a config question

Postby MyTimeNow » Fri Oct 28, 2022 6:38 am

Hi All.

I have 3 computers. 2 get used about the same, the 3rd rarely gets used. All are on my router. I find that I have different .BRU (macro?) files for each machine. I would like to centralize where these are stored so no matter where I run the app, I have all the choices in one place. I can't seem to find where I can change this location from my user folder to a network folder. Does this exist? If the answer is "no", could it be made to exist in an update?

Thank you. :)

Happily enjoying MyTimeNow,
Mike

If you're using the same .bru for each, & you want to open that .bru - each time, you can just point to it (with BRU's shortcut).

Code: Select all
Bulk Rename Utility.exe  "\\nas\Rename\alwaysopenme.bru"

(Heh. I didn't actually test that, but suppose it should work.)

If you don't always want the same, BRU should remember the last File | Open location.
So if you have your BRU's in \\nas\Rename\BRU\, from each computer; File | Open... \\nas\Rename\BRU\thebruyouwant.bru, & from then on BRU should default to \\nas\Rename\BRU\ for the directory to open for (File | Open) BRU's.
