Bulk Rename Utility

Hi all,

Relatively new to the program, so please bare with me.

I have a bunch of folders, all containing image sequences. These folders need to be renamed to the same name as the files contained within (without the extension and last 5 characters of the filename, removing these afterwards it easy).

So, is it possible to rename these folders based on the first name of the files contained within?

If so, how would I go about it?
