Invert date in file name

Postby puppettestpilot » Fri Sep 29, 2023 3:46 am

Oh hi,
I have a whole bunch of files named:
Quick brown fox - as at 31.07.23
(dd.mm.yy)
Which I'd like to transpose to:
Quick brown fox - as at 2023.07.31
(yyyy.mm.dd)
(because windows is stupid and doesn't order files with dates properly)

Can you please help?
Thank you :)

Convert dd.mm.yy ---> 20yy.mm.dd

With RegEx(1) having a checkmark for "v2", the "Match" and "Replace" can be like...
\b(\d\d)(\.\d\d\.)([0-2]\d)\b/g
20$3$2$1

Converts dd.mm.yy ---> 20yy.mm.dd
The /g says global, for names having many dates.
