Renaming only folders which have subfolders ??

Postby aprilla » Sat Jan 20, 2024 12:12 am

Is there a way to bulk rename all 2nd level folders that have a subfolder ?

I want to add ' Collection' to any 2nd level folder which contains sub folders, yet not rename any 2nd level folder which has no sub folder. Is this possible?

I have
Author/Title
Author/SeriesName/Title

I want
Author/Title
Author/SeriesName Collection/Title

Thank you

Hi, I do not think it is possible atm as BRU does not know if a folder contains another folder.... maybe a new feature in the next update...

Ahhhh no, I was sure there would be some way it could do this but that I just couldn't figure it out.

Thanks for the reply though, appreciate that.

Using Everything 1.5 Alpha (rather then the Release version)...

You can probably find directories that have subdirectories.
You can probably even find only directories that contain subdirectories where the same 'Title' appears in each.

Once found, you can drag said directories into BRU...

(Specifics in that regard, I'm not sure, but you could ask in their forums [or read the support topics].)

I'm still thinking about this  There are no files in the folders I want to rename, they contain only folders. And, the sub folders of the folders I want to rename all begin with a number. Would either of these factors help BRU help me?

Author / Title (files)
Author / Title (files)
Author / NameOfSeries / 01 Title (files)
Author / NameOfSeries / 02 Title (files)
Author / NameOfSeries / 04 Title (files)
