Using a shortcut with command line in OpenShell

Postby D4rkw0lf » Wed Feb 14, 2024 3:28 pm

Hello,

I'm using a toolbar provided by Openshell to fasten some files manipulations.

I'd like to have a shortcut for BRU in my new toolbar, that allows me to launch BRU with focus on selected files in the explorer, instead of using a right clic.

I try that code after reading several similar posts here, but it does not work :

Code: Select all
"C:\LOGICIELS\Bulk Rename Utility\Bulk Rename Utility.exe"  "/here:%1"

My Specs : Windows 10 64 bit / OpenShell 4.4.191

Thanks in advance.

You can open a directory.
You can open a .bru (with particular settings pre-set).
You can drag files into BRU.

But... you can't pass filenames to BRU.

(You can do that with Bulk Rename Command, but that's command-line & kind of subverts picking files from Windows Explorer or the like ;-).)

Hi,
the command line parm /here might be undocumented? It is used from the Windows File Explorer extension I believe.
