Rename from text within file?

Hi-
I am brand new to the concept of a bulk renaming utility, and while I have searched the archives here I don't know if I'm searching the right words so I can't guarantee that what I'm asking hasn't already been asked & answered. So I apologize if it has.

I would like to scan thousands of single-page documents so that I can save space on physical storage and also access the documents more easily when I need them. I'd like to rename the resulting scanned files using text within the document. The documents are basically signed authorizations, and I would like to store them under the person's name or perhaps their ID number, both of which are contained in the document. Is this something that is possible to do with BRU (or any utility)? It's too big of a job to do if I have to rename them manually.
