Need assistance renaming file chains

Postby squiddybb » Thu Dec 12, 2024 9:08 pm

I'm trying to get BRU to rename a full chain of folders, files, subfolders, and subfiles. However selecting those options under the "Filter" section only copies the first layer of subfolders and subfiles, leaving subsequent layers untouched. Is there a way to remedy this?

Hi, thank you for posting on the forum. Can you add some examples on the type of renaming you need to do? thanks

I want to be able to drag a folder into BRU and have it do the following: apply changes I select to the folder I dragged, folders and files within that dragged folder, any folders and files within those folders, etc...

Hi, when you drag a folder into BRU, it does not recurse subfolders. For that functionality, you would need to enable "subfolders" in Filters (12) and access the folder from within BRU, e.g. the bar at top or jump to path etc.
