Yes, I know that, but I mean a *native* Win11 extension that is displayed directly in the new context menu, like WinRAR, Notepad++, WinMerge support and offer by now.

Reading a bit more about this, it sounds like those applications you mentioned are "hacking" the Windows 11 menu in order to appear at the front ? I might be wrong.
There should be an option in Windows 11 to let the user decide.

Hi.
I came here for the same request.
Windows 11 makes it annoying, when using it a lot, every time to open the classic context menu to find BRU.

I know nothing of Win 11, barely anything of Win10, but it seems to me you should be shouting at Microsoft to stop doing stupid stuff.
Alas that will be for not, but... .)

I just moved from Win10 to Win11 (and new computer while I was at it) and installed Bulk Rename (a perfectly wonderful utility). It worked fine under Win10 but it does not appear on the context menu, even under the "show more options". I am running 23H2 on an ASUS Q543 laptop. I can drag and drop but that's extra steps I'd like to avoid.

I don't remember if I was logged in as the admin or normal user for the 1st installation, but when it did not show in the context menu, I uninstalled it and reinstalled as a normal user (giving the installer admin privileges). But with same result -- it is not on the "normal" or "show more options" menus.

My personal best solution for this and some other Windows 11 issues was to download the excellent tool:

WinSetView.EXE

which was developed by a microsoft pro who is very technical, but not very able creating nice user interfaces.
With this tool, you can disable the Windows 11 contextmenu, and instead directyl show the old loved Windows 10 context menu!!

You can also set up a standard column layout for folders, excluding the extremely slow file attribute data access, especially for video or image files having to show their date and stuff.

This tool will make your Windows 11 better. It worked perfectly for me.
