Folder Path doesn't work

Hello, I have noticed a bug, When BRU is open for sometime like 30-40 minutes or 1-2 hours, then if I paste the folder path url in the url bar above Like D:\My Folder\Folder1 then it doesn't open files under this path. I have to restart BRU to make it work. Or When I just open BRU then this works perfectly, and it remains opened for 1-2 hours, and then I put any other folder path url in url bar above, then it doesn't list the files. Please solve the problem. Here is the screenshot of the thing I am talking about

Hi, is D:\ a local drive, a USB drive or a mapped drive over the network?

It is a local drive of my computer.

Is the drive and path still accessible? I’m not sure why it would stop working after a while.
Can you verify whether the drive/path appears in Windows File Explorer? Does this issue occur on all drives/paths or only specific ones?

Yes the new path which I enter after 2 hours is still accessible and working well. No issue. Even I create new folders and put files on it and give its path in BRU, it doesn't work. And the same path works in all other apps. Can you please check and fix the issue. Thank You

And yes after two hours, all of the folder paths doesn't work. Sometimes it opens half path, I mean Like D:\Folder1\Folder2\Folder3 then it opens Folder 1.

The "Folder Path", like the Folder Tree is not "live".

It only knows what was - at the time that BRU was opened.

So if you have existing directories:

c:/out/123/
c:/out/456/
c:/out/789/

& you open BRU, BRU knows that the 123, 456, & 789 directories exist.


With BRU still open, if you were then to create a new directory:

c:/out/abc/

BRU will not (by default) know of /abc/'s existence.
So if you were to paste, c:\out\abc\ into the Folder Path, BRU would not return any files therein.


You could restart BRU, at which point it would then pick up on the existence of /abc/,
or, Actions -> Refresh Tree, would do likewise.

@therube is right, if the folder was newly created and it's not present in the BRU folder tree , then it might not open correctly. The tree needs to be refreshed (Ctrl+F5).
In a future update , we should add that the tree will refresh automatically if needed.
