A little empty column on the left

Is it possible to have a little empty column on the left to make mouse selection easier.
I always have to put the arrow on the right empty column to mass select files.
I wish to select from the left column, near the file names. It's sufficient a micro column on the left of the old names column...

Took me a little bit to even figure out how you are doing it.
Normally I don't have any "extra space" [that right-most, unnamed "column"] on the right.
And it is only there where the mouse can be used to drag & select.

Myself, I'm generally a keyboard person, so the thought of using a mouse like that never even occurred.

Hello:

I'm not sure if this works on the new v3 or not because I went back to the old version, but I can select and drag from the any column to the right.
As long as full row select is turned off.

If this function isn't in v3 then I support it Also. left padding or right column select and drag.

I just installed version 4.0.0.7 and multiple files selection does not even work anymore unless I press Control and click on every single file: not fast at all.
Is there a way to make it work again?
Now when I try to create the usual blue box to select contiguous files a file just gets moved up or down the list.

Yeah, I know about the Shift-Down Arrow method for consecutive files, but I still prefere the mouse

Thanks for the report, we are checking this issue. In the current version the selection box using the mouse indeed does not appear.
