4.0.0.9: "Set Content of Custom Column" and file list

Windows 7

1 Drag files into list list
2 Do "Set Content of Custom Column"

Expected: file list retained
Observed: file list lost, refilled from tree.

Hi Chris,
Thank you for reporting this. This issue is due to the fact that after a custom column is set the file list is refreshed, which causes the dragged items to be lost.
Currently the custom column needs to he set before items are dragged into BRU.
We will check this in the next update.
thanks

Thanks. I hope this can be fixed, since it can lose a lot of work when I have a file list manually composed in place.

This is something that might require more analysis. Right now, when files are dragged into BRU, they do not persists - if the list is then refreshed. That might require new functionality. Or alternatively, setting a custom column should maybe not trigger a full reload of the file list but just refresh the Custom Column.

Sounds like it simply requires the list to persist. Note that it is not just when files are dragged in. /Any/ list edits are lost e.g. after select folder, delete entries.
