Could you look into adding chroma subsampling, from MediaInfo, for image files, please? This can have a significant effect on file size due to the chroma compression level.
To allow it to be added to filenames easily, maybe replace the ":" with "-", so "4-2-0" rather than trying to write "4:2:0" and ending up with "420" or an error.
Image
Format : JPEG
Width : 3 000 pixels
Height : 3 000 pixels
Color space : YUV
Chroma subsampling : 4:4:4
Bit depth : 8 bits
Compression mode : Lossy
Stream size : 4.82 MiB (100%)
ColorSpace_ICC : RGB
colour_primaries_ICC_Descri : sRGB
After saving with Paint - literally just opening the file and clicking 'save' with no alterations:
Image
Format : JPEG
Width : 3 000 pixels
Height : 3 000 pixels
Color space : YUV
Chroma subsampling : 4:2:0
Bit depth : 8 bits
Compression mode : Lossy
Stream size : 1.48 MiB (100%)
ColorSpace_ICC : RGB
colour_primaries_ICC_Descri : sRGB
The file size is reduced to 30% of its original. It would be useful to be able to extract that information for inclusion in the filenames, as it is the only difference.
