Insert an Adress Line

Postby consti » Wed Oct 08, 2008 8:45 pm

Hello,

first of all, I really like BRU - the best rename tool i've ever used.
But I'm missing the following feature:

An Adresse-Field (like the adresse-line in WinExplorer)

If you want to navigate to a deep path, you have to navigate through the wohle navigation tree. If you can easily copy and paste a long path, navigation would be much faster!

Is it possible to embed such a feature??

Best Regards vom Germany!

It's a bit clumsy, isn't it, Jim?

First, you have to know ^J to use it.
Then it's manual typing for the entire path. Without typos.
Is it /s or \s..?
These days we look at, scroll to and click at things. Aim at targets.
You've picked up on the users' (My) Documents as shorter-cuts in the nav panel on the left but it still can be a long way to My Videos, for instance.

You're familiar with the popout folder-tree when choosing a place to put a Favourite in IE7? I love the broad top-bottom view we get, and the ability to run rapidly up and down the list finding exactly what we're after. Beautiful for extensive visual scanning. Is that an API you could/would use?
